When a child grows too fat, he or she may have the tendency to develop a lower self esteem since being too big them prone to humiliation and mockery. This will make your child uninterested in going out and mingle with other kids of their age and most of all lacking interest to go to school.

Helping your child cope with this kind of problem at times is not that easy because they maybe are too shy to tell that their problem is their weight. You can sit down together and talk on what is needed for him to do in order to solve his problem. This is a very serious issue and it doesn’t have to wait until your child may become the subject of jokes and be a laughing stock of everybody.


Obesity means having excessive fat in the body. It shows physically on the child whether he or she is obese or not. Being more than the twenty percent of the body’s natural weight is the obvious indication that a child or person is obese. Obesity only means being too fat.
